The custom safari tour is the best of both worlds. We grab a Jeep and an awesome guide and head into the mountains with a preplanned itinerary and lunch. It’s a private tour with just your group of up to 4 people and can be customized to meet everyone’s expectations. Your guide will take you deep into the San Juan Mountains to see some waterfalls, wildlife, and breathtaking views. Our permits allow us to explore the La Plata’s west of Durango or the San Juan Mountains above Silverton, Colorado.

Custom safari tours have more freedom to spend more time in areas or less depending on what you like. We will load up our vehicle and head into the mountains where we will start our journey. Once we reach the end of the Jeep Trails we will take some more pictures in high alpine meadows and basins before heading back.

We have the option to visit old mining structures, ghost towns, and waterfalls, and take in the breathtaking beauty of seemingly never-ending mountain horizons. It is your own unique safari tour customized by you and your tour guide. Come in early summer and late spring to see the wildflowers in full bloom covering the high alpine meadows in vibrant colors. Or come visit us in the fall to see the mountains transform from a lush green forest to a golden yellow and rustic red from all of the aspen trees that line the mountains.
