The panda park is a post-earthquake reconstruction project funded by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. It is home to over 50 giant pandas and 20 red pandas, including some born overseas who have returned to China. Visitors may have a chance encounter with familiar pandas. As a former worker at the Wolong base, I have some friends here too.
The Dujiangyan irrigation system, constructed around 256 BC, is an ancient ecological engineering feat that uses natural topography and hydrology to divert water for irrigation, drain sediment, and control floods without dams. Located on the Minjiang River and Mount Yulei, it is also a great place to experience nature.”
