Our big Trabi tour through Dresden starts at the listed Simmel-Center (Turnerweg/Antonstraße 2A, 01097 Dresden) and heads towards the exhibition center and the Alter Schlachthof (old slaughterhouse). Passing the former Yenidze cigarette factory, the Congress Center and the Erlweinspeicher, the convoy rattles through Dresden's Old Town to Theaterplatz, where you will discover historic buildings such as the Taschenbergpalais, the Semperoper and the Residenzschloss.
At Terrassenufer, you will cross the Augustus Bridge, pass by the Brühl's Terrace and the historic Procession of Princes. Passing the Palais Curland and the “Golden Town Hall Man,” you will come across the Großer Garten and the glass-walled VW Manufaktur along the way. The Trabi tour takes you over the Albert Bridge through the Inner and Outer New Town to the Prussian Quarter. Here, you will make your first stop at Lingner Castle – including a panorama of the Elbe Valley.
Following in the footsteps of the writers Friedrich Schiller and Theodor Körner, you will continue to the historic village center of Loschwitz with the famous Dresden funiculars, over the Blue Wonder bridge towards Schillerplatz.
The next stop, at Käthe-Kollwitz-Ufer, offers another opportunity to change drivers, as well as fantastic views of the Elbe Palaces and Dinglinger's vineyards. The convoy continues over the Waldschlößchen Bridge to Pfunds Dairy, known as the “most beautiful milk shop in the world”. For the final stretch, you'll drive through the alternative artists' quarter and the outer quarter of the new town.
After about 2.5 hours, the convoy will arrive back at the Simmel Center in the Erich Kästner district. Here, you can continue your sightseeing tour, for example, with a guided city tour on foot. Tickets at a special price are available directly from us.
