What you can expect
Tucson, nicknamed “Old Pueblo,” has a wide range of museums, historical sites, restaurants, and cultural landmarks to offer.
At first, you will see the Southside Presbyterian Church with its magnificent architecture and a dark story for you to uncover. After that, admire the bright colors of the scenic Barrio Historico, a historic neighborhood, and get to know about the Native American people in Pima County, one of the four original counties in Arizona.
Continue with the beautiful Cathedral of St. Augustine, an important example of the architectural and spiritual traditions that shaped this region. Then the tour will lead you through El Presidio Park, which has its own long and storied history.
On your way further, pass by the Tucson Museum of Art and consider getting inside if you are interested in Pre-Columbian and Latin American artworks. Once you reach El Presidio de San Augustin, a re-creation of the colonial Spanish fort, travel back in time to learn about the lives of Tucsonans in the past.
Afterward, you will pass by the Hotel Congress, the grand old building and a prominent cultural landmark built as a part of the modernization of Tuscon. From there, you will get to the most beautiful college in the state, the University of Arizona, and end the tour while wandering around the campus.
If you are ready, come and explore the unique, charming, and colorful city of Tucson!
