What you can expect
Welcome to Seattle, a chief city of the state of Washington and a dynamic metropolis built on hills and around water.
There is a lot to do in Seattle, yet this audio tour will take you to the city's downtown and help you explore its history, legends, and architecture.
You'll start the tour at 5th Avenue with its architectural gems: 5th Avenue Theater, a national treasure, Coliseum Theater, Seattle's first movie palace, and a few more.
Also, you can't miss the legendary Pike Place Market with its own history, colorful farmers' stalls, and Rachel the Bronze Pig, the market's mascot.
Then you will see two urban works of art — a Gum Wall with around two million pieces of passers-by used gums and a Hammering Man working 24 hours a day.
Get to see the iconic Rainier Club, Seattle's oldest and most prestigious private social club that included almost everyone from high society from Mark Twain to Bill Clinton. Admire the grandeur of Columbia Center, the tallest building in the entire state of Washington.
Then you will take a look at Smith Tower, the oldest skyscraper in the area, offering panoramic views of Seattle from its observation deck. The building also has a Chinese Room, which, according to legend, was personally decorated by the last Empress of China.
Finally, you will visit Pioneer Square, once the heart of the city that is claimed to be its “first neighborhood.”
Join the tour and spend an exciting time in downtown Seattle!
