How it was back then and what's going on today

Explore Dortmund's “beery” soul and sample it at the same time: On this tour, you will follow in the footsteps of the city's now more than 700-year-old and significant beer tradition. From the era of industrialization, through the 1950s and 60s, when Dortmund became Europe's beer capital, to the present day, when a lot is being done to revive Dortmund's old glory. And you can see for yourself how good it is during this tour.

Which way do we go?
We start at Dortmund's U-Tower, which has been the venue for the Dortmund Beer Festival since 2016. After a short stop in the lobby of the Unique Hotel, the former headquarters of Brau und Brunnen, we will stop at Hövels Hausbrauerei. Passing the Bierkutscher Monument and going along Brauhausstraße, we first come to the original home of the Stade Brewery and finally to the “Wenkers” cellar at the Old Market.
