What you can expect

  • My name is Maxime, an independent live guide who is passionate about the Alsatian vineyards. I invite you to enjoy an authentic experience in the heart of Alsace, just 20 minutes from Colmar: a walk in the vineyards, a cellar visit, and a commented tasting of 6 Alsace wines.

Whether you're a wine lover or simply curious to discover this world, this experience is designed to be accessible to everyone. No special knowledge is required: I will guide you with clear explanations, anecdotes, and discussions to help you understand what makes each wine unique.

During the tour, you will discover the connection between the Alsatian landscapes, the soil, the climate, the grape varieties, and the work of the winemaker. The goal: to give you a better understanding of what you see in the vineyards and what you taste in your glass.

An immersive experience in three stages
Walk through the vineyards — around 1 hour

We set off on foot from the estate to discover the Alsatian vineyards and their iconic landscapes.

I will tell you about the history of this wine-growing region, the formation of the soils, the influence of the climate, and what is unique about Alsatian grape varieties. We also discuss wine-growing practices, including biodynamics, as well as the winemaker's activities throughout the seasons.

This easy walk is an opportunity to take the time to observe, ask questions, and understand how the great wines of Alsace are created.

Cellar tour — about 1 hour

We continue the tour behind the scenes at the estate.

You will discover the different stages of creating Alsace wines: pressing, fermentation, aging, and choice of winemaking. I will explain the decisions made by the winemaker and their influence on the styles of wines produced, from whites to reds to Crémants d'Alsace.

Guided tasting of 6 Alsace wines — around 1 hour

We finish with a friendly tasting of 6 Alsace wines selected to illustrate the diversity of the vineyard.

I will guide you in discovering the aromas, sensations, and characteristics of each wine. Everyone is invited to share their impressions: there is no wrong answer, only the pleasure of learning and discovering.
