This tour examines Barbados's history of enslavement and emancipation, focusing exclusively on the lives of Black Barbadians, both enslaved and free. It visits sites that reveal their journey from early colonial interactions to freedom: Yarico's Story at Kendall, the Newton Burial Ground, the Ironmongers Tavern slave market, the “Negro Yard” at Guinea Plantation, Baileys and Simmons Plantation (site of the Bussa Rebellion), Rock Hall, Mount Wilton, and Hangman's Hill.
