Explore the Detroit Riverfront and downtown on a Segway tour. Ride along the Dequindre Cut, a bike path, and see the Renaissance Center, GM World HQ, and Hart Plaza.
After a thorough training and practice session on your Segway PT, head to the Dequindre Cut, a 2-mile beneath-grade rail line turned bike path, where you can gain riding experience without the worry of vehicles.
Continue to Milliken State Park on the Riverfront. Take a break at Cullen Plaza, the hub of the RiverWalk, then move on to the Renaissance Center/GM World HQ, and Hart Plaza, the main civic plaza in the city.
The second half of this route is into downtown, with some traffic, street-crossing, pedestrians, bikes, and scooters. Amongst the tall buildings, stop at the Spirit of Detroit and the Point of Origin before rolling back the sidewalk on Gratiot, one of the city's spoke streets.
