Pamukkale/Hierapolis ranks among one of the oldest thermal cities of the world. The thermal water of Pamukkale has offered beauty and health to people since ancient times. However, the goal of this trip is the miracle of nature that is Pamukkale, which translates as Cotton Castle in Turkish. The reasons for the visit of Queen Cleopatra to Hierapolis were its limestone terraces, thermal water, beauty and health. We will drive over Antalya through the Taurus Mountains passing the Salda Lake to Pamukkale. We will arrive at Pamukkale at noon and have sufficient time for the limestone terraces, the ancient city Hierapolis with it s enormous necropolis and graves. Situated above the Pamukkale white travertine pools is one particularly spectacular location fed by the same hot springs. Here you can bath in the same waters in which Cleopatra once swam! A professionally run modern spa facility allows you to enjoy these historical healing waters.
