Overview

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel. It runs along the Gulf of Suez. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met by your guide, who will accompany you throughout the tour. The excursion begins with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, which, in addition to its more than 120,000 exhibits, also houses Tutankhamun's golden coffin. Afterwards enjoy your lunch. The further course of the excursion takes you to the great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The tour of the pyramids ends at the Sphinx and the temple surrounding it. At the end of the day, if time permits, you will have the option to drive to the Cairo Bazaar before returning to Sharm el Sheikh.
At the end of the trip you might visit a perfume factory or a papyrus factory, depending on the time left.

It was an excellent experience to see one of the wonders of the world but you should know that for this you need at least 2-3 days to have proper time to see everything. We spent 2 hours in Kairo egiptian culture museum, 2 hours at the piramds, more thab half hour atpapirus institute, half an hour oil and perfumes shop. It was good to taste from everything but I would like to return for a citybreak in Kairo. Our guide Ahmed was an excellent guy, very well prepared, actually he is a full time arheologist, who is excavating in Alexandria, he knew a lot about everything, he's the best! Our guide waited for us in Kairo, and because we had time until the opening of the museum he invited us to a traditional coffee or tea on the noisy streets of Kairo... Our bus was a little bus, not a big bus with toilet as mentioned before, but after all this was our luck, because it was so much more easier to move in a little group than in a big group ( toilet, museums, etc). There would be nicer to have more communication with the drivers, they didn't really spoke english, we never knew whats happening when they stopped, and the music was quite loud in the night (we tried to sleep), but otherwise even out trip to Kairo was ok, we knew that is going to be tiring and uncomfortable. It was an 5 stars experience, everything on time, 7 hours travel to Kairo, and 6 hours back, we spent there 7 hours.

The trip began when a minivan picked us up from the hotel at 11:45 PM. We were then transferred to a larger coach, driven by a man and accompanied by a couple of helpers. While they were generally friendly—especially towards young women traveling alone or those interested in buying the items they offered—they attempted to separate our family from our seats to accommodate other passengers, which was quite frustrating. Our first stop was a museum, where we met Mario, our tour guide. While he seemed knowledgeable, we struggled to understand his accent, which made it difficult to fully engage with the experience. Next, we arrived at the pyramids, which were absolutely breathtaking and easily the highlight of the trip. At one point, we got a bit lost but thankfully found our way back to the meeting spot with the help of a shuttle bus. Later, we were offered a boat trip, which turned out to be far too expensive—500 EGP per person. In hindsight, we should have skipped it. At the end of the tour, we reunited with the bus, only to be sold a dinner for 38 euros, which was completely unreasonable. It felt like a forced upsell, and I would strongly advise others to avoid purchasing the meals they offer. We finally returned to the hotel around 1:30 AM, tired but with memories that were a mix of awe and disappointment.

Very long trip with what seams like many unnecessary stops in order to make their friends/other establishments money! But fun and worth the money! Would be 3-4 hours shorter with silly stops

The tour itself was amazing, our tour guide Mario was outstanding and have no faults with him. However, the bus journey was awful. Cramped on a bus with no leg room because everyone reclines their seats. Would definitely suggest not filling the bus so there’s more room for people to get comfy and recline. Please please please just pay the extra and get a flight. At one point ~ 1 hour into the journey at one of the stops me and my boyfriend contemplated not continuing our journey and getting a taxi back to the hotel due to such awful conditions on the bus. The bus makes many pointless stops to wait for other buses to join which adds a lot of time to the journey. We were picked up at midnight and did not arrive back till ~3:30 the next morning.

I would absolutely avoid this trip. We was away from our hotel for 29 hours. 22 of those hours we spent on a cramped bus. When we arrived at Cairo we was then rushed around the main sights and monuments because the guides just want to get you to the perfume and papyrus outlets in order to get your money. We left hour hotel room at 23:00 on Sunday night and returned back to our room at 04:00 on the Tuesday. 80% of that time was sat on the bus. But not travelling anywhere. A terrible experience.

Honestly the best experience ever! The coach is long but tbh we slept most of it on the way and on the way back so wasn’t too bad. Once you get there you get out into smaller groups and was lovely as there was only 4 in our English group so we teamed up with the Italian group which also had 4. Our tour guide Behary was the best guide you could ask for! He was attentive, funny and went out of his way to make sure we saw everything we wanted to see. I felt much safer going around with Behary. We saw so much in one day so would recommend for a whistle stop tour of some of the best places in Cairo. Definitely recommend

The trip there on the coach was 12hrs and on the way back was 9hrs - total of 21hrs on the coach! The coach was very uncomfortable, couldn't sleep. My friend & I are 5ft 1 & 5ft 4 respectively, and our knees were touching the seats (my friend has a bruise on her knee from the coach seat infront pushing into her). The coach toilet was also so dirty, it's unusable. It's a long trip where you will need to buy your own food and drink for. The tour itself and the tour guides were brilliant. We had Fahme, who protected us from people trying to get tips and sell us things. He was also brilliant for taking pictures & tell us the history of the city. There was also a guide for the Italian family and he was also very lovely. After the excursion, they take you to a couple of perfume shops, which after a long day, is the last thing you want to do. In total, we were gone 27hrs - so two nights and one day. We were exhausted the next day & slept for most of it. So that was another day of our holiday lost.

This trip was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! My family and I came to Sharm el Sheikh on holiday with no intention of going to see the pyramids. We then made a last minute decision to book and we were contacted immediately by the tour operators who sent us all of the required information via WhatsApp. It quickly became apparent that we required a visa to travel outside of Sharm el Sheikh and our tour operator arranged for this with very little notice. We were picked up from our hotel on time and travelled to Cairo. The only negative of this whole experience is that the bus journey is exceptionally long, but we knew this and prepared accordingly. It’s good that the journey occurs through the night so our young children slept pretty much the whole way there and back. When we arrived in Cario, we were met by our English speaking guide, Ahmed. He was absolutely fantastic, very knowledgable and attentive. I’m really glad we purchased the entry tickets through Viator as well as we were able to skip the long lines and head straight on in. Our guide also took us on some additional excursions such as Nile river boat ride, papyrus paper making experience and oil and ointment experience which were all very good. We also stopped for lunch at an all you can eat Egyptian restaurant, which was included in the price. The food was nice and as you would expect, however, my children are fussy eaters so did not eat much at all. Ahmed, our guide, noticed this and took us to a supermarket for snacks. He even went out of his way to take us to McDonald’s before our bus journey home! After lunch we went to see the pyramids, and this experience alone was worth 5 stars!! Seeing the pyramids was breathtaking and definitely something anyone who is visiting Egypt must do! I don’t think it is Egypt unless you see them. I cannot express how amazing this was. When we were at the pyramids, our guide knew all the best places for the perfect photographs and even got us a discounted camel ride! I would also recommend getting the camel ride as you are taken to the perfect viewpoint for a panoramic picture with all the pyramids. We were also taken to see the Sphynx and the guide knew a shortcut to again cut out the traffic and get some fantastic views! I couldn’t recommend this trip enough!! Thank you to all involved for making this trip an unforgettable experience for me and my family. Best wishes, Anthony, Jen, Felicity and Charlie.

Was fun, we had a great guide named Hammi who provided us with a bunch of water, tips, snacks and knew a lot of photo spots. What we did not like about the trip was the wasted time on the bus ride due to a lot of stops + we spent around 2 of the last hours in some overpriced shops.
