This year's lighting dates are: January 13, January 19, January 26, and February 2, 2025. January and February are also the months when Shirakawa-go has the most snowfall. You can also explore local traditional buildings, visit museums or cultural exhibition centers in the village, and learn about the architectural skills and history of Gassho-style.
