What you can expect
Join us for an unforgettable journey through the heart of Kakadu National Park, where ancient culture meets breathtaking natural beauty. Departing at 10:30am, we travel through lush landscapes before arriving at one of Kakadu’s serene wetlands billabongs—a paradise for birdwatchers and wildlife lovers. Enjoy a cool drink as you take in the tranquil scene of tropical birds, turtles, and fish gliding through calm waters.
Next, we explore the Ngurrungurrudjba (Nourlangie) Aboriginal Rock Art Gallery, home to some of the world’s oldest and most remarkable rock paintings, dating back over 20,000 years. Here, your guide will share the stories and traditions that connect the local Bininj/Mungguy people to their land.
At the Kakadu Cultural Centre, gain deeper insight into Aboriginal culture through immersive exhibits on traditional life, kinship, and land management.
As the day unfolds, experience one of Kakadu’s true highlights—the Yellow Water River Cruise. Glide across the wetlands and spot crocodiles, egrets, and kingfishers while learning about the spiritual and cultural significance of these waterways.
The day concludes with a delicious dinner at a local lodge, showcasing fresh regional flavours, before we journey back to your accommodation—your heart full of memories and your camera filled with the wild beauty of Kakadu.
