A culturally distinctive, Welsh-speaking landscape of narrow lanes, fishing villages and hidden coves. Criccieth Castle rises above the sea, Abersoch brings wide sands and sailing waters, and Aberdaron marks the historic pilgrim route toward Bardsey Island.

2) Cardigan Bay
The coastline opens into a broad sweep of beaches and harbour towns. Harlech Castle stands beneath mountain backdrops, while Barmouth, Aberystwyth and Aberaeron reflect classic seaside character. Dolphins are often spotted offshore in this wildlife-rich bay.

3) North Pembrokeshire & St Davids
The journey tightens into the dramatic cliffs of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Fishguard marks the gateway before the route concludes in St Davids, Britain’s smallest city, where cathedral towers rise above the Atlantic edge.
