What you can expect
If it's your first time in Cusco and you're eager to explore attractions near the historic center, our City Tour in Cusco is an ideal choice. Here’s what you can expect:
We begin with a hotel pickup from near the historic center, offering both morning and afternoon shifts. Morning pickups are around 8:00 am, while afternoon pickups are at approximately 1:00 pm. The tour lasts approximately 5 hours.
Our first stop is the Temple of Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), where you'll enjoy a guided tour lasting about an hour. From there, we proceed to the impressive archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman, showcasing remarkable Inca military architecture.
Continuing our excursion, we visit the archaeological site of Qenqo, a ritual center built on a unique limestone outcrop. We then explore the red fortress of PukaPukara, known for its reddish color and military construction. Lastly, we head to Tambomachay, featuring a main waterfall known as “the baths of the Inca.”
Upon concluding our tour, we return to Cusco, with drop-off near the historic center on Plateros street, around 6:30 pm.
