Head to the Nanshan One Tree Viewing Platform, one of the most iconic spots to admire the classic night skyline of Chongqing. Perched high on Nanshan Mountain, the platform is directly opposite the glittering Yuzhong Peninsula.

Built around a single old Huangpi tree that gave the site its name, the terraced observation decks and indoor viewing hall offer wide, slightly elevated angles over the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers, the bridges that span them, and the dense cluster of skyscrapers rising from the peninsula below.

Visit around sunset into the evening, typically between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM, to watch the sky change color behind the skyline and then enjoy the full effect of thousands of lights reflecting on the rivers.
