Next, visit a traditional local market where local villagers and various hill tribe communities gather to sell fresh produce, homemade foods, and unique local products. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience authentic Northern Thai culture and discover ingredients and dishes that many visitors have never seen before.
From there, relax at a charming riverside café surrounded by nature. Enjoy a cup of locally famous coffee while listening to the gentle sound of the stream. Friendly deer often roam around the area, creating wonderful photo opportunities and allowing visitors to interact with them in a peaceful setting.
The tour then continues to a Long Neck Karen Village, where you can learn about the traditions and lifestyle of one of Northern Thailand’s most well-known hill tribe groups. Along the way, travel through the famous Nang Lae pineapple-growing region, home to Chiang Rai’s signature pineapple variety. Depending on the season and available time, stop to take photos in the pineapple fields or sample freshly harvested pineapples from local farms.
