Sweeten your journey with our Lanna Traditional Dessert Workshop at “Nai Suan” (Mae Rim, Chiang Mai). This class invites you to discover the art of making authentic Northern Thai sweets, once prepared for festivals, family gatherings, and special occasions. Begin your experience with a short walk in our organic garden to learn about key ingredients such as sticky rice, sesame, and banana. Then, under the guidance of our local chef, choose 3 desserts out of 4 options to prepare by hand:
• Khanom Wong (Northern-style Donut)
• Khao Nook Nga (Sticky Rice with Roasted Sesame)
• Krabong (Traditional Banana Fritter)
• Khanom Jok (Steamed Sticky Rice Dough with Coconut Filling)
You’ll enjoy a fun, hands-on cooking experience and discover the cultural stories behind each sweet. End the session by sharing and tasting your handmade desserts in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
