What you can expect

Join us for one of North America’s most celebrated food experiences on our Secret Food Tour: Charleston, set in the charming French Quarter. With cobblestone streets, pastel townhouses, and centuries of history, Charleston is a feast for the eyes and the palate.

Led by our passionate local guides, you’ll uncover how pirates, pandemics, wars, and cultural exchange shaped Charleston’s food culture into something truly unique. Along the way, you’ll taste the very best of Lowcountry cuisine — soulful, hearty, and unforgettable.

We begin at the Port of Call Food + Brew Hall, then dive into Carolina-style BBQ, a tradition believed to be the oldest in the world. Next, stroll through the Historic Charleston City Market, where you’ll discover the influence of African ingredients such as collard greens and benne seeds, staples of local cooking since the 1700s.

From there, indulge in signature dishes that define Charleston dining: shrimp & grits, she-crab soup, and an exceptional handmade hot biscuit. For a sweet finale, you’ll enjoy a locally made pecan cluster, crafted with ingredients sourced from Lowcountry farmers and purveyors.
And of course, as with all our tours, you’ll finish with a delicious Secret Dish, revealed only on the day.
