After short driving to Rethymno (approx. 30 min from Kournas Lake), you will have the opportunity to explore the old town, which is home to charming narrow streets, picturesque buildings, and stunning architecture. Your guide will take you to visit the Venetian harbor, one of the most beautiful spots in Rethymno, where you can enjoy the sea view and take memorable photos. Your guide will share the history of Rethymno with you, including the city's long and diverse cultural heritage, and point out notable landmarks and buildings as you explore. Additionally, you'll have time to stroll through the bustling markets, where you can purchase souvenirs, local products, and handicrafts. After a leisurely stroll through Rethymno, we'll make our way back to your hotel (approx. 1h ride to Heraklion area).
