Step into the grandeur of ancient Capua, a city once hailed by Cicero as the “Altera Roma” — the second Rome — and embark on a private, expertly guided journey through its timeless legacy. Just a short distance from Caserta, Santa Maria Capua Vetere preserves the awe-inspiring remains of a civilization that shaped the destiny of the Roman Empire.

Begin your exclusive and private tour at the magnificent Campano Amphitheater, a marvel of ancient engineering whose extraordinary state of preservation still commands admiration and ranks second in size only to the Colosseum. Believed to be the architectural blueprint for Rome’s iconic Colosseum, this arena was enhanced under emperors Hadrian and Antoninus Pius, standing witness to monumental historical moments.

Capua was also a pivotal stage in the Second Punic War: after his remarkable victory at the Battle of Cannae, Hannibal made Capua his base of operations, a strategic and symbolic choice that shocked Rome. His alliance with the city’s elite marked a critical moment in the war, underscoring Capua’s importance as a thriving and influential center of power.

Here too, the courageous Spartacus ignited one of history’s most famous rebellions, forever linking Capua to a legacy of resistance and valor.

Next, immerse yourself in the Gladiator Museum, where ancient history leaps to life. Explore original amphitheater decorations and a striking reconstruction of a gladiatorial combat, surrounded by artifacts dating back to the Iron Age. Each exhibit reveals the valor, drama and spectacle that once filled this arena.

This exclusive experience unveils a hidden gem of antiquity, a captivating alternative to Pompeii or the Colosseum, without any crowds, offering you an intimate glimpse into a pivotal chapter of Roman history — powerful, dramatic and profoundly unforgettable.
