Zelve Open Air Museum

Travelers will explore the rock-cut tunnels and chambers of Zelve Underground City, located in the historic Zelve Valley of Cappadocia. They will walk through ancient passageways, discover storage rooms and ventilation shafts, and learn how early communities used these spaces for shelter. Proceed to Avanos the Pottery Center of Cappadocia, the village is set on the banks of the Kizilirmak/Red River. The River gets its name from the Red clay deposits, here you can watch the potters at work using the traditional kick wheels, a technique that has remained unchanged for generations.
