Its name means "house of the sun." Located in the municipality of Tepeyahualco, it is considered the most urbanized city of pre-Hispanic Mexico due to its highly elaborate planning and symmetry in all its structures. The city was built atop a volcanic lava flow and was discovered in the mid-19th century, though it is believed to have reached its cultural peak between 150 and 200 AD, spanning approximately 867 hectares.
