This workshop offers a delicious and interactive experience where you’ll learn how to craft a traditional chimney cake from scratch.
Your host will begin with an introduction to the history and traditions surrounding chimney cakes in Hungary. After a demonstration, you’ll get to roll your own dough, roll it into smooth strips, and wrap it around a wooden spindle—an essential technique for achieving the cake’s signature hollow shape.
Once shaped, your chimney cake will be brushed in sugar and placed on the rotating grill, where it caramelizes to a perfect golden color. When it’s ready, choose from tasty toppings like cinnamon sugar, vanilla, cocoa, or walnut.
Enjoy your warm Kürtőskalács straight from the grill or take it with you as a sweet souvenir of Budapest. At the end, you’ll receive a Certificate of Achievement to remember your workshop.
