Don't worry about foreign railway apps. We will purchase your round-trip train tickets from Budapest in advance! After booking, you'll just fill out a quick form with your basic travel details (names/birth dates for the tickets). When you arrive, you can easily reimburse us for the ticket cost. The direct train from Budapest takes just 1h 15m.
The Adventure Begins: A Retro Ride
Your guide meets you right at Balatonföldvár station with a unique, retro Japanese Kei car minibus. Featuring a full panoramic glass roof that rolls all the way back, it offers an open-air sense of freedom as we cruise the coast.

Before the ferry, we explore two hidden gems: an intimate lookout point with stunning overhead views of the Tihany Peninsula, and a secret waterfront spot with a charming little pier to experience Balaton’s original wildlife up close.

Next, we board the ferry to cross the lake to the iconic Tihany Peninsula, enjoying the summer breeze along the way.
Hike to the Best Viewpoint (optional)
Explore Tihany’s volcanic landscape on a 6 km guided hike up to the Őrtorony lookout. Enjoy a breathtaking, 360-degree vista over the turquoise water, hidden inner lakes, and rolling hills.
Nature & Lavender Experience
We’ll visit the Lavender House Visitor Center to immerse ourselves in the peninsula's botanical heritage. Stroll through the lakeside park, browse local products, and try the famous lavender ice cream!
Heritage & Leisure
Walk the charming cobblestone streets of the old village leading to the historic Tihany Abbey. Enjoy 1 hour of free time to soak in the atmosphere and take photos at the panoramic promenade.
Summer Beach Finale & Return
We return to the southern shore for a perfect finale at a beautiful beach in Balatonföldvár, where the guided tour ends. It’s the ideal spot to swim and relax. (Note: Beach fee is ~1,700 HUF/person).
The railway station is just a short 800-meter walk from the beach. Since we already provided your return ticket and schedule, your journey back to Budapest will be completely worry-free!
