The Thibon Family arrived in Argentina in 1935, originally from Ardêche-France, where they dedicated themselves to the cultivation of grapes. In 1938 they opened this house as a place to sell roasted and ground coffee.
Café Thibon, for its unique aromas and flavors, was accepted and adopted by its invaluable customers. Later, gourmet products, wines, champagne and select liquors were added.
Currently it is managed by the well-known notable bar 'El Gato Negro' that incorporated its coffees, teas and spices to continue accompanying the growth of this great place, an icon of Buenos Aires culture.
