To help you get to know Bologna, I will explain why the city is called ‘the Red, the Fat, and the Learned’ and show you its symbol: the two leaning towers, Asinelli and Garisenda.
We can start in the beautiful Maggiore square with its arched colonnades where we can enter the San Petronio Basilica, dedicated to the patron saint of Bologna.

I will show you the majestic Pavaglione portico leading to the Archiginnasio, where there was once a silk-worm market, and Neptune fountain, in Neptune Square. I'll show you the symbol of the city the two leaning Towers, Asinelli and Garisenda, and then head to the mysterious Santo Stefano church.
