What you can expect

  • Discover Balicasag, Virgin Island and More Snorkeling Around Panglao

If snorkeling is one of the main reasons you want to visit Balicasag, this tour gives you something extra: after completing the official Balicasag snorkeling experience, you can keep enjoying the water at another snorkeling spot around Panglao, selected according to the conditions of the day.

We pick you up from your accommodation in Panglao at around 6:30 AM and head to the boat to begin the morning at sea.

On the way, we’ll look for wild dolphins that are often seen in these waters early in the morning. The dolphins live completely free in their natural habitat, so sightings can never be guaranteed.

We then make an included stop at Virgin Island. This famous white sandbar is always part of the tour. Its appearance changes naturally with the tide, so depending on the water level, more or less of the sandbar may be visible above the sea.

From Virgin Island, we continue to Balicasag Island, one of Bohol’s best-known marine sanctuaries.

Snorkeling inside the Balicasag protected area is strictly managed by the Panglao Municipal Government. Visitors are assigned local guides and small traditional boats for snorkeling at two designated snorkeling sites. The snorkeling schedule and time at these protected sites are determined by the local authorities and are the same system followed by all visitors to Balicasag.

You’ll have the opportunity to explore coral gardens, tropical fish and, with some luck, encounter sea turtles in their natural environment.

And this is where our tour becomes different.

Once the official Balicasag snorkeling experience is finished, we don’t simply head straight back to Panglao.

For guests who would like more time in the water, we include an additional snorkeling stop around Panglao. Rather than using the same location every day, we choose one of the best available snorkeling spots according to the sea conditions, weather and visibility that morning.

At this additional stop, there is no municipal snorkeling rotation setting the length of your session. If you are enjoying the water and would like to snorkel a little longer, there is no need to rush.

Most guests are back at their accommodation in Panglao at around 12:30 PM, but we prefer not to turn the experience into a race against the clock. The total duration is usually around 6 hours and may extend up to approximately 8 hours, depending on sea conditions and the time spent snorkeling.

Lunch is not included, so after returning to Panglao you are free to continue your day and have lunch wherever you choose.

Wild dolphins if nature cooperates. Virgin Island. Two official snorkeling sites at Balicasag. And an additional snorkeling stop around Panglao with more freedom to enjoy the water.

If you are choosing Balicasag because you genuinely enjoy snorkeling, this is the tour designed to give you more of it.
