Join us on a half-day tour to discover the culture and authentic life of Boa Vista.
On this tour, we want to show you the real life of the locals, the other side that tourism doesn't get to see.
Our first stop is a visit to the goat farm to see how goat farming is carried out – an activity that provides food for families in the villages and was essential for the survival of the residents of Boa Vista before tourism.
We will then head east to the greenest part of the island, where vegetables are grown despite water scarcity.
Later, we will pass through the colorful villages and visit the island's largest lighthouse, Morro Negro, where you will be rewarded with a unique view of the east coast.
The walk up takes about 12 minutes.
Next, we will continue to Porto Ferreira Beach (the shell beach), where you will receive a free souvenir.
We will then return to the village to sample the goat's cheese made by the shepherd and the watermelons harvested by the farmer.
This way, we get to know the island's specialties and support the local community by helping them earn an income through this activity.
Finally, we will drive back to Route 66 and make a short photo stop there.
