What you can expect

  • Bled is known for its scenery and relaxed atmosphere, but navigating a Slovenian wine list can still feel unfamiliar. With grape varieties and regions that rarely appear elsewhere, choosing wine with confidence isn’t always easy—this experience is designed to change that.

Led by a professional sommelier, this guided tasting focuses on how to read and understand Slovenian wine lists, rather than offering a traditional cellar visit or historic overview. Through a curated selection of wines, you’ll explore the main styles commonly found in restaurants across Slovenia, learning how flavour, structure, and production choices influence what ends up in your glass.

The tasting is practical and accessible, avoiding technical jargon. You’ll learn how to spot wines you’re likely to enjoy, how to interpret menu descriptions, and how Slovenian wines relate to styles you may already know from elsewhere in Europe. The experience is relaxed and interactive, offering useful tools you can apply immediately while dining in Bled and throughout your travels.
