What you can expect

  • From an early age I was very intrigued by birds, not so much by how they manage to fly - I will learn it after a long time in flight school - but by their fantastic colors and songs.

Formed in an atheist family, beauty still today, and the fact that we are probably the only ones in the universe to appreciate it, severely tests the possibility of believing that there is no god, and condemns us at least to agnosticism.

Valle d'Aosta does not have a very diversified avifauna: in the course of the seasons it is possible to observe less than 300 species, of which about 80 wintering.

The destruction of the wetlands, the harsh winter climate and specially the great barrier formed by the highest mountains of the European Community do not lend themselves to migratory transit and diversification.

On the other hand, the region is the natural seat of the mountain species, and with relative ease you can see eagles, bearded vultures, owls and many other typically alpine species.
A day of field observations will also allow beginners to distinguish the most common species, recognizing them also from the song.

    COSTS
