Our tour of Etna starts from Favazza Etna Winery, a farm and exclusive access point to Bio Parco Cubania, a private property of about 40 hectares located at an altitude of 1500 meters.

Bio Parco Cubania is an unspoiled natural area that preserves some of the most significant evidence of the volcano: the lava flows of 1928 and 1971, a lava flow cave, centuries-old forests, and monumental trees.
You can only access the park with specialized guides and authorized vehicles.

The experience kicks off at the winery with a warm welcome, a refreshing drink, and an introductory briefing. Then, you'll set off in a Land Rover Defender 130 (maximum 7 people on board) for an initial tour of the farm's vineyards, before reaching the votive chapel threatened by the 1971 lava flow, one of the symbolic places of the relationship between man and the volcano.

The tour continues inside the Bio Parco Cubania with a guided itinerary that crosses the lava flows of 1971 and 1928, where you can observe how eruptions from different eras have shaped different landscapes and vegetation. The route winds through forests, ancient trees, and protected natural areas, with stops dedicated to observing the territory and understanding the volcano's geology.

During the experience, there's also a stop near the opening of a lava flow cave, which lets you understand the internal structure of Etna and the transformation of the landscape due to eruptive activities.

At the end of the tour, you'll head back to the Favazza Etna Winery, where the experience wraps up with a tasting of four glasses of Favazza wines, accompanied by a platter of typical Sicilian products. Alternatively, upon request, you can choose a tasting of oil or plant extracts from the company's organic garden.
