  • Accommodation: Overnight in a three star hotel
Paro
  • 5h
The flight into Paro crosses the Himalayan range, offering spectacular views of towering peaks such as the sacred Jumolhari and Jichu Drake. If you are arriving via Kathmandu—the route known for its breathtaking panorama—you may even catch glimpses of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga. Upon landing, our representative will greet you and escort you to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will explore Paro Dzong, built in 1646 and still home to government offices and religious institutions, as is the case with all Bhutanese dzongs. On the way, you will cross a charming traditional wooden bridge. Afterwards, the National Museum awaits; once the dzong’s watchtower, it now displays an impressive collection of fine arts, paintings, thankas, statues, and antiques. Your next stop will be Kyichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in Bhutan. As evening approaches, you may enjoy a leisurely stroll through Paro town and its local market. Overnight in Paro.
Day 2: Paro to Thimphu
  • 1 stop
  • Meals: Not included
  • Accommodation: Overnight in a three star hotel
Thimphu
  • 5h
Following breakfast, you will drive to Thimphu. Upon arrival, your sightseeing begins at the King’s Memorial Chorten, built in honor of the Third King of Bhutan (reigned 1952–1972). From there, the journey continues to Changangkha Monastery and then to the radio tower, which provides a sweeping view of Thimphu Valley and Tashichhodzong. A brief visit to the zoo will introduce you to the takin, Bhutan’s unique national animal. Next, you will visit the nunnery temple, the National Library—home to ancient manuscripts—and the School of Arts and Crafts, also known as the painting school. After lunch, your tour proceeds to the National Institute of Traditional Medicine, a traditional paper factory, the majestic Tashichodzong, and finally Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 3: Thimphu to Wangduephodrang
  • 1 stop
  • Meals: Not included
  • Accommodation: Overnight in a three star hotel
Wangdue Phodrang
  • 5h
After breakfast, you will begin your drive to Wangduephodrang. En route, a stop at Dochu La (3,100 meters) offers tea and, on clear days, magnificent views of the Himalayas. Upon reaching Wangduephodrang and enjoying lunch, you will continue to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan. Here, you will visit the beautiful Punakha Dzong, constructed in 1637 by the first Shabdrung. On your return to Wangduephodrang, a short stop at Metshina Village allows for a pleasant 20-minute walk through rice fields to Chimi Lhakhang, the revered fertility temple where special blessings are offered.
Day 4: Gangtey gyemba day excursion
  • 1 stop
  • Meals: Not included
  • Accommodation: Overnight in a three star hotel
Phobji Nature Trail

The day begins with a scenic drive to Gantey. As you ascend, dense forests of oak and rhododendron surround the road. Eventually, you will arrive in Gantey village to visit Gantey Gompa, the only Nyingmapa monastery in western Bhutan. From this serene setting, sweeping views of the Black Mountain range and the picturesque Phobjikha Valley—winter home of the black-necked cranes—unfold before you. Later in the evening, you may wander through Wangduephodrang town and browse local shops. The surrounding villages are well known for slate, stone carvings, and bamboo crafts
Day 5: Wangduephodrang to Paro

Paro

Your return journey to Paro begins after breakfast. Along the way, you will stop in Thimphu for lunch and visit the Folk Heritage Museum. Tiger's nest
  • 4h

After breakfast, you will embark on the hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery, Bhutan’s most iconic landmark. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche flew from Singye Dzong in Lhuntse on the back of a tigress to meditate in a cave that now forms part of the monastery. Perched dramatically on a cliff 900 meters above the valley floor, Taktsang offers unforgettable views. The hike to the main viewpoint makes for an excellent half-day excursion. The remainder of your day is free to relax or explore Paro town
