The Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution is the national military museum of China, located in Beijing. It is one of the ten great buildings erected in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Construction began in October 1958 and ended in August 1960, and it officially opened to the public on August 1, 1960. Mao Zedong inscribed the name of the museum. the largest is the Hall of Weapons, which displays a large number of domestic and foreign weapons. The museum's collection mainly focuses on military equipment and cultural relics reflecting the military history of the People's Liberation Army, ancient and modern Chinese military history, and world military history. Its core exhibits include displays on the Revolutionary War led by the Communist Party of China, the defense and military construction of New China, weaponry, the military history of China's dynasties, military technology, and the Red Memory exhibition
