We start our food tour with a stroll through the quiet Hutong allays, listen, as your guide offers an intriguing insight into the Hutong’s rich history, and learn about the culinary traditions and history and the eating etiquette.

Stop at popular local restaurants to sample authentic snacks. Note that stop locations vary daily, and your guide will adjust based on your preferences to cover these classic treats. Options may include local specialties like:
1: Sesame cakes - a cake made of sesame seeds, often combined with honey as a sweetener.
2: Ma hua- Fried Dough Twist
3: Soup dumplings
4: Beijing Jar yogurt
5: “Cross Bridge” Rice Noodles - originating from the Yunnan province
6: Jianbin - fried pancake
7: A crispy fried ring-a popular household snack
8-11: Steamed Rice Cakes with Sweet Stuffing plus all kinds of Beijing local snacks
12: Malatang - a member of hot pot, consists of a spicy hot pot soup base with a variety of ingredients, such as vegetables, meats, seafood, and noodles.
13: Baijiu - a colorless Chinese liquor typically coming in between 35% and 60% alcohol by volume
14-15: Xinjiang Lamb Skewers - including Nang Bread and lamb/vegetable kabobs
