Although I am now a beekeeper, I was an ordinary, unsophisticated honey buyer until recently. I learned something that beekeepers and honey sellers never talk about, the other side of modern beekeeping. We will start with a little digression into the history of beekeeping. You will see a beehive in a living tree, log hives and other unusual beehive designs. Then I will tell you in detail and show you all the negative aspects in the technologies of modern beekeeping, because of which I never want to consume honey that is sold everywhere. I will give you simple criteria, thanks to which you will learn how to find truly natural honey without the admixture of chemical drugs and sugar, not only in Georgia, but also in your own country. You can also taste some of the unique varieties of local honey. After that, I will take you to the Mtirala National Park in a way that only locals go.
