The upper church at the end will make you knowing Saint Francis life through the famous cycle of paintings decorating  the church’s side walls.The Basilica of Saint Francis is a bi- level 13th century building which preserves the tomb of Saint Francis of Assisi, one of the most beloved Saints in the world.
