Join a guided snowshoe walk in the middle of the Bardufoss Region. Start your adventure on top of Målselv Mountain Village where you buckle your snowshoes on and walk along the tracks in the Mauken Massif.

Walk to a viewpoint located about 1 hour from the parking lot, and take in a breathtaking view of the Bardufoss Region and its magnificent landscape. Light a campfire to keep warm, drink some coffee and prepare your own lunch over the fire.

Look out for reindeer, as the Mauken Massif is a popular winter grazing area for reindeer herds. Your guide will share their knowledge of the Arctic wilderness and wildlife, and give you a valuable insight into the local culture.

If you wish to step away from the tracks, you can break your own trail and enjoy the unspoiled wilderness for a while. On a clear day the view towards Istindan and the other mountains is truly a majestic sight.
