What you can expect

  • At 8:00 AM, start your journey with pickup from your accommodation in Banyuwangi, Ketapang Port, or the airport.
    Travel for approximately 1 hour to Djawatan Forest (also known as the mini Lord of the Rings). Continue to Meru Betiri National Park, an approximately 2-hour journey by Trooper Jeep. Arrive at the park and continue tracking to Green Bay Beach to enjoy the beautiful beach with a view of the bay and white sand.
    Spend some time swimming and relaxing on the beach. Return to Sukamade Beach using a Jeep, which will take approximately 1-2 hours. Arrive at the beach and check in at the Sukamade homestay.
    Rest for a while before tracking turtles and looking for turtle eggs, or visit the baby turtles at the conservation center. Enjoy dinner and prepare for a 1 km trek to the beach.
    At 8:00 PM, attend a briefing with the forest ranger and look for turtle eggs. If you find turtles laying eggs, return to the homestay.
    Return to your accommodation and rest before releasing the turtles the next day.

    Day 2:
    At 6:00 AM, prepare to release the baby turtles on the beach.
    Return to the accommodation for breakfast and prepare to check out.
    Between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, head to Banyuwangi city center, the airport, or the harbour on a 5-hour journey.
    Our services will finish in Banyuwangi between 1:00 and 2:00 PM.
