Day 1: Ijen Crater
Start your adventure with a midnight pick-up from your hotel in Banyuwangi. Drive to Paltuding, the starting point of the Kawah Ijen trek. Get equipped with a headlamp and gas mask for safety due to sulfur gas near the crater.
Start the trek to Kawah Ijen. The hike takes about 1.5 hours, with a medium difficulty level. Along the way, enjoy the cool night breeze and starry sky. Arrive at the Kawah Ijen Crater. Witness the rare and spectacular Blue Fire phenomenon, one of only two places in the world where it can be seen.
Marvel at this natural wonder as it glows against the dark sky. Enjoy the breathtaking sunrise from the top of Kawah Ijen. Watch as the first rays of sunlight illuminate the crater lake’s turquoise waters, and observe the traditional sulfur miners at work.
Start the descent back to Paltuding. Take in the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape during the hike down. Arrive back at Paltuding. Rest and refresh after the trek, with the option to buy snacks or drinks from local vendors.
Drive back to Banyuwangi and arrive at your hotel. Take a shower and prepare for the next destination.
Depart for Cemoro Lawang, the last village of the Bromo. Stop at the meeting point in Probolinggo for a briefing session to prepare for the Bromo sunrise trip.
Depart for the designated hotel in Cemoro Lawang. Arrive in Cemoro Lawang and check-in at the homestay. Rest and prepare for an early morning departure to Penanjakan viewpoint.
Day 2: Bromo Mountain
Wake up early and depart for Penanjakan viewpoint. Enjoy a jeep ride to the viewpoint and watch the sunrise. Continue the journey to explore Bromo’s crater, Luhur Poten Temple, and Whispering Sand.
Return to the homestay, freshen up, and enjoy breakfast at Cemoro Lawang. Check out from the homestay and prepare for the journey to Probolinggo.
Depart to Probolinggo City and arrive at the station or terminal.
