What you can expect
If you are the first group to book the tour and have at least 2 people, you will be upgraded to a private tour, and the start time will be flexible—earlier or later as you prefer.
For the best tour quality, we operate only one tour per day, starting in the late morning and finishing in the afternoon. We run the tour even with just one person.
Please note that historical park entrance fees are not included, as some visitors may have visited these sites previously.
Our route features easy riding that avoids main roads and focuses on peaceful backroads, making it suitable even for small children. The tour can be adjusted to match your preferred finishing time, depending on the weather and the riding speed of the group.
After a tuk-tuk pick-up from your accommodation, we will bring you to our convenient starting point, located near a local university, hospital, cafés, restaurants, and the Chao Samphraya National Museum.
From there, we cycle through relaxing local routes and continue out of town on quiet roads, passing hidden temples, ancient ruins, and sometimes local animals cared for by nearby residents. Along the way, we will stop at the Giant Reclining Buddha and continue to Wat Tuek, a historic temple once used by Ayutthaya kings. We will also make a brief stop for photos at the White Temple.
Next, we visit Wat Maenang Pluem, where you may receive a monk’s blessing and a small spiritual amulet—or Wat Na Phra Meru, depending on the weather conditions.
We then cycle through Hua Ro Market for an authentic local lunch. You will taste dishes that local people enjoy every day, including:
We then cycle to Hua Ro Market for a real local lunch, served by local people in their everyday shops. You will enjoy 3–4 hot dishes, depending on what is freshly available. We focus on food that is cooked hot and served immediately, such as noodles, Pad Thai, fried rice, fried noodles, or a freshly steamed or fried local sweet.
Sometimes you may also receive a local drink or ice cream, as many small local businesses do not have exact operating hours, and the menu depends on the situation each day. (Vegetarian options are available.)
After lunch, we continue riding to historical temples. Fresh cold coconut water will be served before visiting Wat Mahathat, famous for the Buddha head in tree roots and its Angkor-style ruins. If time and weather allow, we will also stop outside Wat Ratchaburana, known for its Hindu-inspired tower that once held hidden treasures.
Our final major highlight is Wat Phra Si Sanphet, the most important royal temple of the Ayutthaya Kingdom.
We then cycle back to our starting point to conclude the tour.
