Visit Hobbiton Movie Set and Te Puia in one day from Auckland. Your Cheeky Kiwi guide is with you all day, from pickup to drop-off. Travel south through the green farmland of the Waikato in a small group of no more than 15 people.

At Hobbiton, a Hobbiton guide leads you on a 2.5-hour tour of the 12-acre movie set. See 44 hobbit holes, the gardens and the Mill, hear how The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films were made, and enjoy a complimentary drink at The Green Dragon Inn. Then pass through Tīrau, a small town known for its corrugated iron sculptures.

In Rotorua, take a guided tour of Te Puia. See Pōhutu Geyser, steaming vents and bubbling mud pools, visit the national Māori carving and weaving schools, and look for kiwi in the kiwi house. Finish with a guided drive past Lake Rotorua, Government Gardens and the Blue Baths, then relax on the return trip to Auckland.
