The Auckland Harbour Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks of Auckland, New Zealand. The Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park is located on the top of Bastion Point, overlooking Waitemata Harbour and Rangitoto Island. It has a stunning panoramic view and is located on a total of 49 hectares of land, and is notable for its tall obelisk and a mirrored pond amidst well-maintained gardens. Visit this place, which houses a memorial to Michael Joseph Savage, the founder of the New Zealand welfare state, and enjoy a peaceful retreat in New Zealand.

Named after Sir Dove-Myer Robinson, the popular and longest-serving (18 years) mayor of Auckland. The park is home to the Parnell Rose Gardens and the Nancy Steen Gardens. It is a festival of colour and scent as some 5000 rose bushes grow here. There are also several remarkable native trees, including the oldest manuka and largest pōhutukawa tree in Auckland. Enjoy the views over the harbour and Judges Bay. There is a great network of paths and plenty of spots for a picnic.
