What you can expect

  • Discover the beauty of the pristine Baja California desert with an excursion that takes advantage of two very different kinds of horsepower. Gallop through the dusty paths and trails on horseback, and then hop onto a potent Honda ATV to see the landscape in a whole new way.

Following your hotel pickup, arrive at Rancho Carisuva for an initial orientation on the upcoming adventure. Start with an hourlong riding tour on a horse chosen to fit your skill level and experience. Admire the desert trails' lush vegetation and the towering cacti that can reach heights up to 20 feet (6 m).

Feel the refreshing Pacific breeze as you direct your horse to one of the pristine beaches nearby before circling back to the ranch. Once you arrive, it's time for your next adventure: put on your goggles and bandana and rev up the engine of your Honda TRX 420 ATV for a drive to the scenic landscapes, desert ranges, and impressive ocean cliffs.

Before you return your hotel, take a stroll around the estate to see the more than 40 horses, chickens, a friendly donkey, and a simple traditional hut that form a charming example of life in the desert.
