Mount Omuro is a 580-meter-tall dormant volcano located on the nearby Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, often visited as a day trip from Atami. Renowned for its symmetrical, bowl-like shape and completely grass-covered slopes, the mountain prohibits foot hiking to protect its terrain, requiring visitors instead to take a scenic chairlift to the summit.

Hakone Pirate Ship Take the Hakone Pirate Ship to cross over the Lake Ashi to the Ropeway Station. Hakone Shrine: Torii gate rising beautifully out of the Lake Ashi. Hakone Shrine and the surrounding forest retain an atmosphere of both peace and mystery. A water-lapped red torii gate in Lake Ashi, frequently seen in photos of Mount Fuji, is perhaps the shrine’s most famous feature.

Enoshima is a famous island located in Sagami Bay, Kanagawa Prefecture, accessible from the mainland via a 600-meter pedestrian bridge near the end of the Enoden train line. Renowned for its rich legends surrounding the dragon god and Benzaiten, the island features steep, winding shrine paths lined with traditional souvenir shops and coastal tide caves.

It is a popular spot for swimming in the summer and is particularly well-regarded for its evening illuminations and as a prime location for viewing Atami's famous fireworks festivals.
20:20| The Atami Marine Fireworks Festival is known for its multi-season tradition which held more than 10 times a year over Atami Bay since 1952. Because the surrounding mountains create a natural acoustic amphitheater, viewers experience thunderous, immersive sound effects that perfectly complement the dazzling displays over the water. Typically best viewed from spots like Atami Sun Beach—just a short distance from the nostalgic Atami Ginza Shopping Street—the spectacle culminates in the breathtaking “Grand Aerial Niagara,” a massive cascade of white light that brilliantly illuminates the entire night sky.
