Arenal Volcano Hike 1968 Trail: Itinerary

For this tour, we have chosen one of the most extraordinary trails in the park to the 1968 lava flows - the remaining memory of the first eruption of the 20th century and a few other areas now in the process of regeneration. You will explore this trail for about 2 1⁄2 hours with your expert naturalist guide.

The “Colada 68” trail will give you the best of the best to walk on lava flows in the entire area of the Arenal Volcano, walk in rocky areas, feel the power and serenity of nature, enjoy impressive views of Lake Arenal and the mountains of Monteverde, as well as offer a deep contact with the local flora and fauna and a great opportunity for bird watching and animal encounters.
