Sandland, also known as the Antalya Sand Sculpture Museum, is one of the largest open-air sand sculpture events in the world. Located on Antalya's world-famous Lara beach, this fascinating museum is described as “the place where sand turns into art.” Renewed every year with different themes, Sandland takes its visitors on a journey full of art, history, and imagination with hundreds of giant sculptures created solely from the combination of water and river sand.

The works, made using 10,000 tons of river sand on an area of approximately 7,000 m², are built by 25-30 professional sculptors from around the world over a period of weeks. The sculptures are shaped only with sand and water; since they contain no chemical additives, they represent the purest form of nature and human labor.

Your visit begins at the impressive entrance gate. As you walk among mythological gods, historical leaders, space explorers, movie characters, and scenes from future worlds, you find yourself in a story that transcends time. In front of each sculpture, there are information boards in four languages: Turkish, English, German, and Russian. On these boards, you can find information about the subject of the work, its artist, and the creation process.

One of the elements that makes the Sandland experience special is the themed music that accompanies visitors throughout the space. You become fully immersed in the atmosphere by hearing epic melodies in the mythological sections and sounds evoking the future in the space-themed areas. In addition, the giant LED screen in the museum area broadcasts a professional documentary showing the stages of the sculptures' creation. This documentary offers visitors the opportunity to see the challenges and technical details of sand sculpture art, as well as the artists' work from behind the scenes.

During the day, you can closely examine the details, reliefs, and fine carving of the sculptures. In the evening, the museum transforms into an art scene with its special lighting system. Moreover, you can enjoy both the day and night experiences with a single ticket.

The Mini Sand Workshop for children allows young visitors to have fun making their own sand sculptures. Families can capture fun moments at the space-themed Astronaut Photo Spot. Free telescope events held on summer evenings also offer the chance to observe the Moon, Jupiter, or Saturn.
