The National Park of lriqui It occupies the space between the wadi Drâa and the southern fall DE Bani. vegetation is represented by a tree-lined steppe and a savannah of Acacia raddiana. Dune habitats are mainly covered by Tamarix. In the near past, the dried lake of Iriqui was a stopover and wintering place DE many migratory birds and gave the lake an important ecological character. The desert DE M’Hamid is home to a variety of fauna represented by the Gazelle dorcas, the Sheep with cuffs, the Hyène, the outar DE houbara but also by a large number of reptiles such as the Lizard, the Ceraste, the Varan. The reintroduction DE some rare extirpated species DE the Saharan fauna such as the Oryx, Addax and the Red-necked Ostrich has given an invaluable additional value to the region.
