What you can expect

  • A time capsule unfolds before the visitor's gaze at the beginning of the tour in this central courtyard. The monastery was founded in the sixteenth century, being the only female monastery of the diocese of Almeria until the mid-eighteenth century.
    Beatriz de Silva, Teresa Enríquez, and Queen Isabella the Catholic were the three women who managed thanks to their enormous effort to make this place a reality.
