At 8:00 AM, a comfortable jeep or SUV will pick you up from your hotel for a 3-hour drive to Charyn Canyon, arriving around 10:30 AM. We’ll spend 2 hours exploring the Valley of Castles, admiring dramatic rock formations and taking stunning photos. Optionally, for 1,800 KZT, enjoy a safari vehicle ride along the canyon for a unique perspective.

We’ll spend approximately 2 hours at the canyon, walking through the scenic Valley of Castles, admiring the dramatic landscapes, and capturing stunning photos against the backdrop of its magnificent rock formations. Optionally, for an additional fee (1,800 KZT), you can take a safari vehicle ride along the canyon to experience its vast scale from a different perspective while saving time and energy.

Next, we’ll head to Bartogay Reservoir — the drive takes about 30 minutes. We’ll spend around 1 hour here, soaking in the atmosphere of this truly scenic location. Bartogay is known for its almost otherworldly landscapes: the endless mirror-like surface of the water reflecting the sky, surrounded by rugged hills that make you feel as if you’ve stepped onto another planet. It’s the perfect spot for striking, unforgettable photos. After visiting the reservoir, we’ll begin our return journey to Almaty. The drive takes approximately 3.5 hours, and we’ll drop you off at your hotel around 5:30–6:00 PM. Don’t hesitate to ask your guide to take photos for you — we’ll be happy to capture your best memories from this incredible journey!
